Taking a risk can actually be very beneficial to your career, but you have to make sure you aren’t being reckless. Calculated risk-taking involves making a leap and being bold, but it doesn’t mean you jump before you’ve assessed the situation.
For example, if you’ve had a great year at work and experienced many professional accomplishments, approaching your manager about a potential raise could be seen as a calculated risk. Failure Isn’t the End
