December 1st will mark the one-year anniversary for Anne Campolieti, Human Resource Specialist at Vector. As part of a 5-person team, Ann is responsible for interviewing and placing job candidates; visiting clients and evaluating their needs; and placing sales calls to potential clients in the Greater Cleveland area. Anne joined the firm last year from another staffing agency, where she specialized in outside sales and brought new business to the staffing agency. She prefers her position at Vector, however, because she is able to work with both client businesses and employees, and meet both their needs. “It’s so interesting getting to know a business. When we get a new job at Vector, we go out and really see what that job would entail, often going out on the floor and performing the job ourselves,” Anne said. “This really helps us to understand the whole process of what the company does, and what they’re looking for. This helps make it easier to find someone who matches the required skills necessary for the job.” Anne gained her interest in the human relations field at Lakeland Community College, where she studied human relations. She plans to return to Lakeland soon to attain her Associates Degree in Business. As a self-proclaimed “people person,” Anne finds working with Vector’s clients and employees very rewarding. “This business really keeps you on your toes. I love the interaction with people on a daily basis,” she said. “The most exciting aspect of this business, however, is helping people find jobs when they need them. It’s very rewarding.” Anne resides in Mentor. Anne was once a scuba diving instructor, and still enjoys the pastime, as well as cooking and kickboxing. She plans to marry her fiancé Adam Anderson next September.

In its continuing efforts at providing its client companies with the best services possible, Vector was pleased to provide Joanne Szymczak, Human Resource Administrator, from STERIS Corp., a tour on Wednesday, December 5. The visit by Joanne was coordinated to provide the STERIS human resources team with a full understanding of who we really are at Vector and how we go about finding the most qualified candidates for employers. This is one of many tours Vector has provided to a client in recent months, as we work to better serve them and educate them on how we can continue to meet their needs. “As the New Year approached, we thought it would be a good idea to provide these tours. Clients are very keen on them,” said Vector’s Human Resources Manager Tammy Beckwith. “It is nice for us to tell clients what we do, but it gives clients a better picture when they come out and actually see what our staffing services really mean.” During these visits, Tammy conducts a full tour of the office, introducing the guest to the entire staff. Afterwards, she walks the visitor through Vector’s hiring process, which includes a full background check, skills testing and three interviews. In addition, visitors are introduced to Vector’s employee database, which can track employees according to their skills and skill level by using key words on their resume or comments, and our new testing center. STERIS’ Joanne Szymczak, Human Resource Administrator, was pleased with the visit, and said she would encourage other businesses to do the same. “I was very impressed with your complete background checks, and meeting everyone here and learning their specialized areas for placement,” she said. “Now I have a much better understanding of what you do here, and a more complete sense of who you are.” To schedule your tour, please call Tammy at (440) 946-8800. |
