 
Spring is here at last. New beginnings and new faces are the norm. Things are no different here at Vector Technical Inc., where we have recently added some new aspects to our newsletter and a new member to our staff. In each quarterly newsletter, in addition to our Customer Spotlight, we will be featuring "Success Stories," a spotlight on employees we have placed in a variety of positions. "Success Stories" is just another way to show you how Vector Technical is working to make the lives of our employees and clients easier. I would also like to take a moment to welcome Jeremiah Hovis to the Vector Technical staff. Jeremiah, whose background is in human resources, is now a human resource specialist for Vector Technical. For a more in-depth look at Jeremiah, turn to Page 3 of Tech Talk. We are very proud to have this talented young man join our team, as his experience in human relations is simply a mirror of what Vector Technical is all about. As a contract and permanent employee placement firm, we like to think of ourselves as an extension of our clients’ human resources department. We’re able to do this because we’ve brought professionals onto our staff who have human resources backgrounds. We are not trying to sell people, we are trying to place them in jobs that fit both the client’s needs and the employee’s needs. In this way, we are not focusing simply on placement but on retention. | onsite at client locations trying to help solve problems, understand the environment and get a feel for what a job is all about. I myself have run CNC and bridgeport machines just to learn what an employee would have to do. This knowledge helps us understand what kind of people will fit in a job, thus enhancing retention rates.
Conversely, it is not unusual to see clients in our offices getting a feel for who we are and what Vector Technical is all about. We welcome our clients to tour our office to show the capabilites we have in-house and what sets us apart from our competition.
